A brief set of notes:
The December Penn Cove Literary Arts Award has yet to be determined.
January’s Theme: Writer’s Choice.
Realistically, the submissions link will be posted by the 5th, I’ll aim for sooner, but I want to buy time, since I’ll be traveling to Whidbey, Washington in the next few days.
As soon as I get word, I’ll post the usual congrats, or (pending no socks getting knocked off) encourage us all to write better than we did yesterday.
The end of the world did not come, so we still have to get up and go to school, work, or whatever it is that drives us all. The party was great, though!
This residency is the earliest that I know of, starting on the 5th and the scramble for last minute books, etc. is slowing a few of us down a bit.
Thanks for your understanding — and looking forward to an awesome year of writing!
Stay tuned.
Any status updates?
Hi! Is it just me being blind or is the link for January not up yet? Thanks!
don’t know about your eye sight, but news is on the way
How can I submit a piece of mine to January’s contest? I can not find a link.. Thanks!
Absolutely, Dylan! The January Mailbox is still good from the December Mailbox — that will be changed soon, but we’ve been in classes (this really is a student site!). Apologies for the confusion, I take full blame — I thought the month had been changed though a winner had not been announced — coming up shortly.
Hi, where does one submit, I think I’ve been over the whole site but can’t find a submittal page.
Thanks.
Katrin,
It’s tricky (I know) because we expect “menu” bars to lead us somewhere else, but if you simply click on “Penn Cove Award” on the menu bar and scroll down the opportunity to submit is right there. You won’t have to go elsewhere, I promise.
